Check out the 2010 Trails Open initiative. This provincewide natural heritage program – an initiative of the Ontario Heritage Trust – promotes trail use and education, natural heritage conservation and stewardship, and physical activity and a healthy lifestyle.

Trails Open Ontario provides an opportunity for Ontario residents to access and celebrate the remarkable trail systems that exist throughout the province. Among the province’s greatest treasures, trails comprise more than 88,000 km (54,680 miles) of walking, hiking and cycling opportunities throughout Ontario.
