For many years conservation education programs have been offered at the Wawanosh Nature Centre. The Nature Centre building is currently undergoing a structural assessment and facility review. As a result, programs have been shifted to Falls Reserve Conservation Area for the winter and spring 2018 season. Falls Reserve is located at 80900 Falls Reserve Line, just west of Benmiller.
Falls Reserve is a 230 acre natural outdoor playground. The property contains a variety of habitats and several special ecosystems. Programs begin either at the Picnic Pavilion located in the day-use area or at the unique Above the Falls building.
This winter programs are available for grades K to 8. During the spring and fall, programs will be available for classes ranging from kindergarten to grade 12. All the activities are flexible and can be modified to meet specific group interests or needs. Community groups are welcome to make weekend and evening bookings subject to staff availability.
Half day visit: $6.50 per student ($130.00 minimum fee)
Full day visit: $11.00 per student ($220.00 minimum fee)
There is no HST on education programs.
