The annual Family Fishing Derby is Sat. June 23rd at Falls Reserve Conservation Area, Benmiller. The derby is at the fishing pond that’s been stocked with Rainbow Trout and Largemouth Bass.
Lots of prizes from local businesses are up for grabs including an award for the smallest fish caught! Four age categories: 6 yrs and under, 7-12 yrs, 13-17 yrs and 18 and over.
No fishing equipment? No problem! The Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters Tackleshare program has equipment you can borrow.
Park admission is $15 per family. Derby registration is only $5 per person and includes a free hot dog.
